Chitra tripathi recently got into a big controversy which also involved a legal case against her. She is currently involved in a POSCO case which she is fighting in the Punjab and Haryana High court. Here are some key points of the case.
Chitra was accused of airing morphed and obscene video of the minor girl which was linked with the famous Asaram Bapu sexual Assault case. This violates the law of POCSO ( Protection Of Children From Sexual Offensive Act ) along with other legal laws.
After this incident happened, a Gurugram ( former Gurgaon) court took a legal action by issuing the non-bailable warrant on her arrest on November 14th, 2024. This action was taken against her after she did not appear in the court. She was also criticized for taking this matter more lightly.
She tried to have an anticipatory bail from this case which was rejected by the court. Reason being her absence from the court was unjustified.
On December 9th 2024, the High Court of Punjab And Haryana set aside her arrest warrant. They even allowed her to take regular bail from the court.
